Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people's lifestyles have changed significantly and many activities have been tried to be done remotely online. One of the distance studies on the Internet is educational activities. This study is based on the examination and interpretation of previous studies on the use of modern information and communication technologies in educational institutions in order to determine the effectiveness of distance education in education and training. In this context, studies conducted by different researchers on the role of distance education in educational institutions related to education and training processes, the difficulties encountered and the advantages and disadvantages of this method in practice are included.
