The mean score of the ISS of the nurses was 80.74 ± 6.00 and the total score of the ETS-A was 66.50 ± 7.71, and a significant positive correlation was found between the mean scores of the scale (r = 0.527; p<0.05). The mean score of ETS-A of female nurses (67.69 ± 7.64) was higher than that of male nurses (63.34 ± 7.10) and the difference between genders was found to be statistically significant (p<0.005). No statistically significant difference was found between the other variables and the scale mean scores (p>0.005). ISS and ETS-A levels of nurses working with foreign nationals were high,  te level of ISS increased while the level of ETS-A of nurses increased and empathic tendency levels were higher than men.
